Blackboard Collaborate

We will meet weekly online in Blackboard Collaborate on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 PM. Your participation in these meetings is critical for the success of this course. Time will be set aside for group meetings to complete collaborative assignments.

Internet Accounts & Contact Info

For this class, you will need a Google account (you may use your account) and a Twitter account. We will use the Twitter hashtag, #676su, for sharing resources.

We will also use LINE (, a smartphone, tablet & desktop app, for instant messaging, including announcements, reminders, and other class-related briefs. Download and install the application on your smartphone (and/or desktop, if preferable).

Have these accounts ready by Wednesday to share with others. You may use accounts that you have created previously. Use your account to post your contact information:

Topics Survey

Since we are attempting to cover a full three-credit course within six weeks, complete the following questionnaire to indicate your interests in the wide variety of possible topics for this class. Instead of working from a fixed set of topics, you will also have the opportunity through group work to select a topic that you would like to explore in more detail.

This course is highly interactive and collaborative. Some have had disastrous results when traveling on vacation or attending academic events during a summer session, especially when there is a significant time difference. We expect that your contributions for all class activities will be made in a regular and timely manner.
